2026 Inter Regional SCPA Qualifiers at Headley & Bordon PC

Over the weekend of 30th and 31st May, 21 triples teams took part in the competition to secure a spot representing our region at the 2026 Inter Regional Tournament in Weston Super Mare, in September.

The event was hosted at our new terrain, allowing players to experience all four surfaces. Our clubhouse is now established, and mission control - Hilary was pleased to manage the proceedings from the shelter of the sunshine. It was an extremely hot weekend, but fortunately, the predicted rain on Sunday did not occur. I sympathised with the players, but they were all very sensible, using sun protection, wearing hats, and staying hydrated, resulting in no heat-related issues!

A big thank you to Mike and his team for handling the BBQ on both days, and to Alison and her team for providing teas and coffees throughout the day and keeping the fridge stocked with ice-cold water and canned drinks, which were much needed and appreciated by everyone.

A special mention and huge congratulations go to our club members, James, Leo, Chris T, Roger, Eliot, and Carolyn, who all qualified to join the 2026 Squad. It's pretty impressive - 6 entered, and all 6 qualified.
