Pétanque fortunately requires a player to only acquire a small amount of personal equipment to be able to play the game. A set of three boules, a few jacks and a measuring tape is normally sufficient as the club provides the other key elements: throwing circle, scoreboard and other necessary ‘terrain’ equipment.
At BPC we have club boules which are available for the new player to use when first starting to play the game. Once you have established, through play, which size, weight and product specification suits you best, there are various specialised suppliers who will guide you through the process of purchasing your own boules and ancillaries.
