2025 Club Triples Competition

Eight teams competed in this year's Club Triples. Unfortunately we were quite a few players short this year as there was another competition in Wootton Bassett, however we all had a fabulous day. The weather was great which is always a good start. The teams were:

• Sara, Godfrey and Mike B

• Chris and Dave G and Charlie

• Mike, Alison and Neil

• Lesley, Janice and Dave M

• James, Robin and Chris T

• Rosemary, Zac and Chris S

• Dave, Jackie and Mary

• Colin, Dave P and Martin DS

The 8 teams were split into two groups. In the morning, each team played the other in their group in three 50 minute timed games. We then had an hour's break for lunch during which Colin seeded the teams according to the morning's results.

In the Main Competition, the top seeds in Group A - Lesley, Janice and Dave were against the top seeds in Group B, James, Robin and Chris T (the tipped winners!) L,J&D put up a good fight but were defeated and J,R&C were into the final.

Colin, Dave P and Martin were the second seeds in the Main competition and beat Dave, Jackie and Mary in the semi finals to go into the final.

With the majority of the players watching on, Team Turner v Team Crofts played a very close match but ultimately the Trophy was awarded to James, Robin and Chris T - congratulations gents, well played.

In the Consolage Competition, the top seeds in Group A were Mike, Alison and Neil. Rosemary, Zac and Chris S were the top seeds in Group B and after a valiant effort, and despite some epic shooting from Zac, they were beaten by Mike, Alison and Neil. It's the team strip that did it!
